I’ve always loved looking at the sky. It appears to extend forever into the horizon decorated with the occasional clouds, stars, birds, and at times even satellites. Peering over enormous buildings, the sky never forgets to say hello while I’m walking down the busy streets.
One of my favourite things in the sky to look at are the clouds. The way the sunlight plays with every bump, fold, and tuff on each cloud adds amazing contrast and texture to its already grand nature. From afar, clouds appear to be larger than cities, blanketing our neighbourhoods, and yet can still appear to be so delicate and soft. Moving with the wind or staying in its place, enormous clouds always leave me feeling inspired and motivated.

Clouds during the sunshine are pretty but there’s something about clouds during a storm that feel so amazing. Casting its dark shadow over everything, the swift winds propelling them, and the immanent storm to follow. Storm clouds look and feel so powerful and unstoppable. But above all that, on top of the storm the bright blue sky always manages to peer through offering a warming light, despite the raging tempest bellow.

Occasionally, clouds form odd and interesting shapes. Sometimes looking like waves, other times maybe hearts or lions, but always leaving me speechless.

A short entry about my weird love of clouds. I really love the sky, so I hope to continue this “Looking Up:” series. I hope to capture some constellations, maybe even one day capture the milky way. Sunsets are also gorgeous! Thanks for reading.
My writing isn’t very polished but hopefully will get better with time! If you have any comments or criticisms please feel free to send me a letter!
